Lisa’s education includes a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) at Swinburne University (VIC) and a first-class Honours degree in Psychology from the University of the Sunshine Coast (QLD). Lisa is a warm and empathic psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience working with a range of individuals and groups from private and non-for-profit organisations throughout New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Queensland. Lisa has a wholistic approach to therapy and has a passion for helping people to find a sense of wellbeing, meaning and purpose in their lives. With a focus on wholistic wellbeing Lisa has worked with children, adolescents and adults experiencing with a range of complex concerns including Abuse, Trauma, Family Violence, Separated Families, Child/Parent/Family conflict, Mental Health, Staff Wellbeing and has extensive experience in Relationship Counselling. Lisa also has a passion for creative and expressive therapies which is where she started her journey as a practitioner bringing together her love of creativity and her fascination with the human mind, body and spirit. Lisa is a Psychologist currently completing her provisional registration and has a Diploma in Art Therapy. In addition, Lisa is trained in Person Centred Therapy, Trauma Informed approaches, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Creative Art Therapies, Sand Play, Transpersonal Therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Suicide Prevention. She is an accredited trainer of the Circle of Security parenting program, the Drumbeat program, Bringing Up Great Kids program and is a Certified Trainer and Assessor. Lisa’s previous career was in a Business environment where she worked in Marketing, PR and Management in a range of locations across Australia and in the UK. Lisa has travelled extensively and loves living in the Sunshine Coast. In her spare time, she loves to get out into nature, spend time by the ocean, travel, paint artworks, decorate, read and frequent cafes and restaurants in the Noosa area and all over the world.
