Aaron Howearth

We are sad!

Aaron is relocating interstate at the end of 2022 and is taking on no new clients.

Aaron uses the Cognitive-Behavioural approach to psychological therapy, having worked with a diverse range of children, adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of psychological concerns including anxiety, depression and varying forms of trauma, abuse and family violence. Aaron seeks to assist all people, regardless of age or identity, and has a special interest in Queer Health. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys jogging, bush-walking, beaches and travel. Aaron uses He/They pronouns.

In a former life, Aaron spent 23 years in the Royal Australian Navy, followed by 3 years as a Dog Walker, and draws on these experiences to bring a practical and pragmatic approach to therapy. Adding to this, Aaron comes with several years' experience working and supervising on helplines (Lifeline/QLife), which have augmented his warm, friendly and supportive therapeutic style.

Aaron completed a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences at Swinburne University (Vic), followed by a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced) at Monash University (Vic), and returned home to Queensland in 2021 to undertake a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of the Sunshine Coast, which he will complete in late 2022. As a registrar completing his final training in psychology, Aaron sees adults and children under NDIS or WorkCover, as well as private clients and those referred by their doctor.
